Every aspect of forming community is creating a new One. Unity is not fixed. Love is personal. If there is only the lover and the beloved, only these two, the circuit is complete and there is no future. God who is Love is three persons united in love. The trinity is the minimum number for God to be love. The lover, the beloved and the love between them opens the two to another in love and the cycle is open.
God is dynamic love, at once deeply personal, and far reaching in time and space. The lover God loves the beloved person and together they increase the spirit of love that is open and ever inclusive. God is becoming God through our loving one another into the fullness of love. The name God speaks of the overflowing of being into more.
Is there a first out flow or is it constantly and from all time of a present movement unfolding? We are asked to be attentive to the presence of a divinity of love in the moment, a love that is and was and ever shall be.
